View Our Nursery
The Nursery is divided into 5 rooms, in which small groups of children of a similar age and stage of development are based. Each room offers the children a wide variety of activities and experiences that are designed to progress and develop every individual child further to achieve their full potential.
- Bunnies Room (3-12months)
- Ducklings Room (12-24months)
- Cubs Room (2.5 – 3.5years)
- Bears Room (3.5 – 5years)
Bunnies Room
The Bunnies room is the nursery’s baby room. We have two nursery practitioners who care for a maximum of 6 babies at any one time. Our practitioners aim to build close partnerships with parents and carers to help ensure the continuity of care between home and nursery. The babies are introduced gradually to different Nursery practitioners can support parents in areas such as weaning, routines and all other areas of their child’s development.
Ducklings Room
The Ducklings room is our toddler room, which also has two nursery practitioners who care for a maximum of 6 children at any one time. The practitioners aim to introduce simple daily routines and activities in a fun and exciting way, which help develop and meet the individual needs of all the children.
Fawns Room
The Fawns room is our over 2s. We have 2 nursery practitioners who care for a maximum of 8 children. Learning through interaction with people and exploration of the world around them. Encouraging them to build positive relationships with those around them.
Cubs Room
The Cubs room is for children 21/2 – 31/2. There are between 8-10 children in this room cared for by 2 nursery practitioners.
Bears Room
The Bears room is our Pre-School room for children aged 3.5yrs upwards.
We offer a breakfast club from 7am, which is subject to availability and demand.
Our nursery is closed weekends and bank holidays and the days between Christmas and New Year.

By rail – Deerlands Day Nursery is within walking distance from the local train station, which provides a regular service to the surrounding area and is only 45 minutes from London Liverpool Street.
By road – We can be reached via the B1012 which is the main road from South Woodham Ferrers to Burnham-on-crouch and easily accessible from Maldon, Danbury and surrounding villages within the Dengie Peninsula.
